I am grateful that I can express myself through my art, be it graphic design, writing, or landscape oil painting.

Painting landscapes, seascapes, and animals, in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. Being an artist means that I see things others may not. When I look around I am always analyzing form, color, and tone.  I appreciate the design and patterns that nature makes and strive to capture these in my paintings. I love painting en plein air (in open air) and find unlimited inspiration from the beauty in nature. Water is one of my favorite subjects. I paint only in oil because of the richness of color and the flexibility of this medium. Influenced by the great Impressionists, my goal is to capture light and atmosphere in every painting while creating a well-composed, unique, and interesting work of art. I want the viewer to see and feel the beauty, tranquility, and wonder that exists in nature.

My formal education includes degrees from Massachusetts College of Art ( MassArt) and Northeastern University. I have been fortunate to study with some great painters including the late Frances Weston Hoyt of New London who was a Frank Vincent Dumond student, John Traynor, Gil Perry, and Peter Granucci. I am a juried member of the New Hampshire Art Association, a member of the Monadnock Art Association, a contributing Member of the Rockport Art Association, and a past adjunct professor at Colby-Sawyer College and  New Hampshire Institute of Art.

My work has appeared in local and regional juried shows and galleries.
