“Projects and Selections” is a 50-year retrospective of various aspects of the artist’s work utilizing a wide variety of materials and ideas; including painting, photography, stained glass, silkscreen prints, pastel and crayon drawings, and a selection of quilts. Metnick’s work tells stories about the spaces human inhabit, from industrial buildings, such as Olneyville’s Atlantic Mills and Rising Sun buildings, to more intimate spaces, like his family’s home and the human body itself. Seen together, these works vibrate with a life force that is both joyful and raw.
