Did you know that 68% of women consider themselves to be savers more than investors? Many women say they lack confidence in their knowledge of financial topics, and that stands in their way when it comes to INVESTING. And investing is a way to put your money to work… to have your money make money. And there’s no question that it’s critical for women to get comfortable managing their finances… why? Because 90% of women will have sole responsibility for their finances at some point in their lives – whether they choose to remain single, or get divorced or become widowed. And, 50% of women are the primary breadwinners in their households or are on par financially with their significant others. Also, women now stay single longer, the divorce rate is high, many of us spend time outside the workforce caring for family members, AND we outlive our male counterparts. So none of us can afford to sit on the sidelines when it comes to our finances. At this interactive workshop, we will be putting the shame of “not knowing enough” behind us to completing a personal Budget, learn about savings vehicles for short and long term investments, and most importantly, HOW to invest your savings to get you closer to your goals- all in a simple way to help you understand how to get started or enhance the plan you already have in place.
